Shane's Bio

Shane snapped for 9 of the 11 years he played competitive football. He began snapping in 8th grade, when the position was open. The rest, as they say, is history.

Shane learned the basics from his father, who was an outstanding high school coach. He then spent the next 10 years mastering fundamentals and perfecting his technique. In the process, he developed numerous drills which can be used by anyone to become an excellent deep snapper.

Deep snapping enabled Shane to play Division I college football. As a 4-year starter for the New Mexico State Aggies, he made over 400 perfect snaps. Shane earned an athletic scholarship, and was twice honored as a GTE Academic All-American.

His successful college career led to a series of pro tryouts. Despite his skills and several good showings, Shane failed to make any team. So, in 1994, Shane decided to share his knowledge with others. He created his best-selling video, Techniques & Drills for Effective Deep Snapping!

Thousands of players and coaches have benefited from Shane’s video, which has become THE standard for deep snapping instruction at all levels of the game. His video has even sold in Australia, Canada, Germany and Mexico.

Shane has spent 10 years developing the best methods and drills for teaching deep snapping. He appears at camps and clinics nationwide, and also provides private instruction for the most serious snappers.
